What is a virtual/telemedicine visit?
Virtual visits help to facilitate care when it’s simply not possible for an in-person visit to our clinic. This is a great alternative for handling select types of medical conditions and concerns. Through a video chat, our pediatrician is able to connect with your family, right in the comfort of your home.
How does a virtual appointment work?
You may call our office or send a request for an appointment through the patient portal or virtual visit appointment link on our website. Once your appointment has been scheduled you will receive an email containing a link and special code for the visit. You can connect to your virtual session from your PC, Mac, iOS, or Android device. It is recommended that you join 15 minutes before your appointment to complete any necessary forms.
How are virtual visits billed?
We bill your insurance for virtual visits. In the event that your insurance plan does not provide coverage for the visit or you are a cash-pay patient, this then becomes an outofpocket expense.
What happens if I don’t show up for a virtual visit?
Missed virtual visits are treated like regular clinic appointments. If you are not online and checked in at the time of your visit, your appointment may be rescheduled and a no-show fee will apply. If you are unable to make your virtual appointmentkindly notify us at least 24 hours prior to avoid late cancellation fees.
